Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial music producer and singer, who mixes the soul of gospel and jazz with R&B in a signature mix. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, the singer has done work everywhere. Sunshine's real name is Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by playing the piano and singing in church. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical instruction began with the Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals Stalk You A House 12 was only released in Japan. It has been remixed many times, and is the mainstay in her live performance. The singer has also provided her voice for The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005 she was hired as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls which was a stage production of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine came to national attention during four daily shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
