Angie Harmon has been an American actress, model and TV host for many years. She began as a model, but once she was recognized internationally, she decided to try acting. Her acting debut was in the television series "Baywatch Nights" from 1995. She also does voice-acting as well as voice-overs for the animated film "Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker". In the early 2000, Harmon chose to focus solely in films, and stop acting in television series. At the beginning of 2000, Harmon returned to television series after appearing in several movies. The only one of a handful of actresses in 2008 to have secretly taken a naked photo for the magazine Allure. The role of the detective Jane Rizzoli was her most significant work in the TNT series Rizzoli & Isles. Her award was with an award for her role as a police detective. Angie Harmon is nominated and given an award for exceptional work.
